Music Family Tree

Music is like a family with different generations branching off to create new sounds and consequently, new genres (styles of music) and subgrenres. When we trace history backwards, we can see that the roots of rock begin with blues and country music. Quickly, however, those two genres split to create new subgeneres, new little musical families!
