A Hands-On Way to See
How a Kaleidoscope Works!
Materials:
Two mirrors, preferably with straight edges so they can be joined
Tape
Two or three small objects
Procedure:
Use the tape to join your two mirrors at the edges.
Place one small object in front of the mirrors where they are joined together.
Slowly decrease the angle of the mirrors noting how many images of the object you see at 120 degrees, 90 degrees, and 45 degrees.
Repeat the process with two and then three objects.
