Jazz For Lunch!

Turn up the music, then slice and dice…

The rhythm of this book swings just about as much as the music it describes! Join Auntie Nina (yes, THAT Nina!) and her nephew as they cook up something special for a bunch of cool cats! Catchy phrases by Jarrett Dapier are accompanied by energetic illustrations by Eugena Mello that almost steal the show.

…Jazz for lunch sounds pretty nice!

💡Did You Know?💡

The area of Louisiana that eventually became known as the city of New Orleans was originally inhabited by the Chitimacha Indians. They referred to this land as Bulbancha, which means “the place of many tongues” because it was a gathering place for tribes from the surrounding area. It was 1718 when the French colonized the area and named the gathering plac La Nouvelle-Orléans, or New Orleans, after a town in France.
