Let’s tune your mini guitar!

A guitar usually has six stings. The mini guitar included in La Guitarrista Box only has four, so we’ll use a standard ukulele (oo-ka-leh-leh) tuning. An ukulele is a four-stringed guitar-like instrument that is common in the music from the Pacific Islands. Your new mini-guitar was hand made in Mexico, so be very careful when handling it!

  1. Hold your mini-guitar out in front of you.

  2. Pull the first tuning peg back slightly to allow it to turn.

  3. Pluck the string and compare it to the note to what pitch it should be on a tuner. (You can use this neat online tuner!)

  4. Turn the tuning peg to tighten (raise the pictch) or loosen (lower) the pitch until the correct pitch is displayed on your tuner.

Visit Uke Buddy.com for more tips and tricks. And remember, your mini-guitar is fun but fragile to play!
